How to make a better quality air heater solution?

In fact, there are two kinds of tubular electric heating elements used in the field of air heating range, one is heated directly in the air, and the other is applied to heat inside metal molds. 

So how to choose the better quality air heating element solution?

1. Increase the metal cooling fins

    There are two kinds of electric heating tubes commonly used for air heating, one is a smooth stainless steel surface heating tube, and the other is a smooth stainless steel surface with metal fins wrapped around it. If the installation space allows, it is recommended to use the dry firing electric heating tube with fins.  Because the fins wrapped around the surface of the stainless steel, can increase the heat dissipation area of the dry firing electric heating tube thereby accelerating the speed of dry firing electric heating tube heat dissipation. The heat dissipation speed is faster, the heating speed will also become faster.

The electric heating tube with fins has another advantage is to protect the service life of the electric heating tube. We know that when the electric heating tube is used in the air, its heat conduction speed is much slower compared to the heating water or heating metal hole heating tube, after the increase of fins, dry firing electric heating tube heat dissipation speed, then its surface temperature will not be too high. Surface temperature is not too high, it will not burn the dry burn electric heating tube.

Good life of the air heating with electric heating tube not only to increase the heat sink, but also to choose the right material.

2. Metal tube shell material can be selected according to the heating temperature.

Working temperature in 100-300 degrees, recommended to use stainless steel 304 material.

Working temperature in 400-500 degrees, recommended to use AISI 321 material.

Working temperature in 600-700 degrees, recommended to use stainless steel 310S material.

Working temperature in 700 degrees - 800 degrees, Incoloy800 alloy is recommended.

3. Filled magnesium oxide powder can be selected according to the temperature.

Tube surface temperature 100-300 degrees, choose low temperature magnesium oxide powder filling.

Tube surface temperature 400-500 degrees, choose medium-temperature magnesium oxide powder filling.

Tube surface temperature 700-800 degrees, choose high temperature magnesium oxide powder filling.
